The Milwaukee Bucks are hiring longtime NBA coach Doc Rivers, current coach of Philadelphia 76ers. The team announced on Wednesday 1/24/2023, one day after firing coach Adrian Griffin, that they are requesting Doc Rivers to come to Milwaukee. Currently, the Bucks have a 30-13 win-loss record with two superstars, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard; this record could potentially lead to an NBA Championship. With this possibility in mind, the general manager of the Bucks, Jon Horst, needed to find a replacement for Griffin who could keep and encourage the team toward its NBA Championship goal.
“This is obviously a difficult decision,” Horst told reporters Wednesday evening.
