*Editor’s Note: This summary is written the day after the trip ended. Ren did not write a travel journal every single day of the trip this time because he forgot to bring his laptop. No, I’m serious, I’m not joking.*

Ok, let’s get started. So this trip was kind of weird because I had no idea it would happen until the day right before the trip.

We did not take a plane, instead, we drove there, like a road trip. On the way, we took a stop at the 17-Mile Drive. I saw plenty of things there such as the brown pelican, Brandt’s cormorant, and the California sea lion.

In the picture above, the two birds are on the top of the large rock. At the bottom, are the sea lions cluttering together. To get more information about these three animals check the picture below.

To be honest, it was kind of boring so I won’t explain anymore.

After going to the 17-Mile Drive we went to this really good pizza place named Pizza Heaven. I had Hawaiian pizza, with pineapple, yes, and Meat Lovers’ pizza. It was very delicious and I downed half of a 16-inch pizza. This isn’t Yelp so I won’t go into details.

When we finished lunch, we tried to drive to another landmark called Big Sur. Key word: tried. So long story. We were on the way to Big Sur but the Google Maps started failing us so we weren’t warmed about an upcoming road being closed.

Then we wanted to go to Hearst Castle, as a backup plan. But then, it would be too late by the time we arrived because it would close at 5 pm. We had no choice but to just drive directly to our hotel and do nothing for the rest of the day except for sitting in the car.

The next day was way better. I started the day by going to the Griffith Observatory and on the way I saw the Hollywood logo on the mountain.

Griffith Observatory was very cool and I saw many interesting things about astronomy. One thing I saw was the sundial.

Another cool thing that I saw was Galileo’s telescope.

My personal most favorite thing in the Griffith Observatory is the Tesla Coil.

There were a lot of other nice things that I didn’t get pictures of such as the Foucault Pendulum.

Following this, we went to the Universal CityWalk where I went shopping but didn’t get a single thing or any pictures. I had lunch there too and it was pretty decent.

Up next is the best part of the whole trip, in my opinion. I went to Crypto.com Arena. Crypto Arena is a sports stadium in Los Angeles where many famous sports teams play, such as the LA Clippers(🏀), LA Lakers(🏀), LA Kings(🏒), and the LA Sparks(Women 🏀). At Crypto Arena, I saw many statues of the players who played in the teams listed before. I also took pics of them(only basketball players because that’s the sport I play). I saw the Kobe Bryant statue, the Shaq statue, the Elgin Baylor statue, the Magic Johnson statue, and the Jerry West statue. Here are all the pics:

After “admiring” the statues I went into the shop and bought three Clipper hats for literally no reason. Probably because they were 75% off. Then I went outside to a private shop and I bought a Kobe Bryant t-shirt because he’s my favorite player.

To end the day and the whole trip off because the next day we would be coming back, we went to one of the best art museums in America, the J. Paul Getty Museum.

I saw many masterpieces by several different artists. My favorite piece was called Demolition of the Chateau of Meudon because it was very detailed and the lines were extremely visible.

Here are some other amazing masterpieces that I saw.

Another very cool feature of the museum was that part of it was shaped like a piano. It’s either that everyone sees it as a piano or I have eye problems.

Overall, the trip was very nice and I saw a bunch of very cool stuff. I would definitely go again(not the 17-Mile Drive part).
