Ren’s Travel Journal to Australia – Fourth Day in Australia

Today, I started the day with a very sugary breakfast at my hotel in Canberra. I started regretting life decisions after I ate it because I felt like I was going to get diabetes in a few days.

After breakfast, we checked out of the hotel and drove to UC, University of Canberra. There were no parking spaces so we just looked at the university in the car. Therefore, the pictures will not be very clear.

We then drove to the Canberra airport where we returned our rented car and waited a while for the check-in counters to open. The check-in counters soon opened and we checked in, of course. Following that, we walked toward security which was extremely fast.

We walked over to our boarding gate and soon the plane started boarding to Gold Coast, Queensland.

The ride was really quick, it was about 1.5 hours. I slept for most of the time on the plane.

When the plane landed we strolled over to the luggage claim. On the way, I bought some sushi hand rolls which were delicious.

Very soon after, we got our luggage and started renting another car.

Then we drove to Sea World, where I did a lot of fun stuff.

I started by going to one of Australia’s most intense roller coasters, the Leviathan.

Honestly, it wasn’t that bad, there were just a few high drops and quick turns. The only bad thing about it is that it is really, and I mean really loud. It literally felt like it broke the sound barrier when I heard it from underneath.

Here’s a fun story. The full-grown adult sitting next to me was really scared that he started hugging his friend in the row in front. “Are you allowed to even do that?” I asked. And he just shushed me. I honestly don’t even care.

Next, I went to some shows and places with animals and it was astonishing.

This part of the theme park is called Shark Bay and is where you can have a beautiful view of the marine animals underwater. My favorite animals are the stingray and the shark. Although they can sometimes be deadly, on the outside they look absolutely adorable.

I watched this short presentation of a few people feeding dolphins.

To end the day off, I went to a sea lion show which was really fun. It was like a sea lion talent show, all the 3 sea lions showed off what they could do with their masters.

After we went to Sea World, we drove to our beautiful hotel. Don’t believe me? Look with your own eyes.

You literally can’t say this is not beautiful.

I ended the day with a really filling buffet and now I’m sitting in bed writing this for all of you. I should be sleeping right now.

Tomorrow I will be surfing so I might not be able to provide you with lots of pictures but I will try to explain everything verbally. Stay tuned!
